Catherine Kavanaugh Massey OBITUARY
Catherine Kavanaugh Massey, 53, of Phoenixville, formerly of Kennett Square, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the Jefferson University Hospital. She was the wife of Michael C. Massey, with whom she shared 7 and a half years of marriage. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of Janet Rash Suter of Kennett Square and the late William F. Kavanaugh. Cathy attended the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed crocheting, needlework and being with her family and friends. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one brother, William E. Kavanaugh of Kennett Square; one sister, Sandra K. Bahel of Kennett Square; one half-sister, Helen Kavanaugh Markland of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and six nieces and one nephew. You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 10 to 11 on Friday morning, Nov. 30, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, (Phone: 610-444-4116). Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Longwood Cemetery, Kennett Square. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Cathy’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
